NORTH SPRINGS CRICKETS

      The North Springs PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) wants to welcome all of our new and returning Crickets and their parents!  We are excited about this upcoming year and hope you will enjoy all of the opportunities to be involved with your children and North Springs Elementary School.  

The PTO is a great partnership between the teachers and parent volunteers that exists to coordinate events, volunteers and raise funds to improve our school.  The money we raise goes directly back into your children’s classrooms!

There are many ways to become involved regardless of the amount of time you can provide to the school.  Look through the Volunteer Packet that your child brings home to find the events and activities that fit into your schedule then return it to your child’s teacher.

           I look forward to seeing you at North Springs!  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Volunteers Needed

There are many opportunities at North Springs to get involved.  Following is a list of upcoming events with brief explanations.  Please fill out a Volunteer sheet so when each event draws near the Volunteer Coordinators may get in touch with you.
Book Fair De. 8 - Dec. 12, 2008
March 23 - March 27, 2009
Volunteers needed during the day and for Family Night.
Jump Rope for Heart TBA Volunteers needed all day.
Goodies for Grands TBA Volunteers needed from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
I Love Science Day April 22, 2009 Volunteers needed all day.
Cricket Day
 
TBA Each class is assigned a booth/ride that must have two or more parents attending at all times.  This is a fun and exciting day for our children so lets make sure that the day is safe for everyone!
Silent Auction Through-out the year Would you like to help collect items for the auction? We need help setting up the Auction Room the Friday before the Auction and we need volunteers in the Auction Room once the Auction is closed.
MAP Testing TBA Volunteers needed all day.
PACT Testing May 12-27, 2009 Volunteers needed all day.
May Day Play Day TBA Volunteers needed all day.
Picture Day TBA Volunteers needed all day.
Health Screening Oct. 8-9, 2008 Volunteers needed all day.
Backstage Café TBA Volunteers needed to cover lunch period for teachers.

Fundraisers

Fall Fundraiser
Held each Fall
Begins September 5, 2008

Kickoff begins Friday, September 5, 2008, in the auditorium. All fundraiser packets are due by September 19, 2008. Added incentives will be announced the day of the kickoff. A limo ride with lunch will be provided for students who sell 35 items or families (two or more siblings) who sell 50 items. Product pickup dates and times will be announced at a later date. Thank you in advance for your support. Let's go bananas for Innisbrook products, North Springs Families, and raise money for our school!

PTO Membership Drive Held each Fall.

Box Tops 4 Education Each class has a collection box. Click here for more information
Bruesters Nights Dates to be determined North Springs receives 20% of sales.  Times are 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Bi-Lo, Publix and Kroger Cards will be sent home at the beginning of the school year. Present your card at check out. Forget your card? Tell them North Springs and they will scan our school code.
Target When signing up for these programs please designate North Springs Elementary. Target will donate 1% of your Target Visa or Target Guest Card purchases to North Springs.
